Choosing a company name
Basically, all that is required in selecting a company name is that the name choice is distinguishable from already existing company names. To ensure that the name is distinguishable, we will execute a preliminary name check.
LLCs
Within the Articles of Organization, the company name must be followed by the words "Limited Liability Company" or an abbreviation of the word, "LLC" or "L.L.C".
Corporations (C-Corp and S-Corp)
Within the Articles of Incorporation a corporate name must be followed by the word "Corporation," "Incorporated," or "Company." An abbreviation of the corporate indication, such as "Corp.," "Inc.," or "Co." is also acceptable.
